Supply Chain Challenges solved by Solvares Logistics

Managing global supply chains in complex organisations is no easy task, when we are talking to prospective customers we come across many reoccurring challenges.

  • Lack of visibility – Organisations often seem to lose visibility as soon as the order is placed with the supplier, product doesn’t arrive when its expected and then there is no clear view of when it will arrive.
  • Manual processes – Many manual processes dealing with multiple queries which arrive by email or telephone.  Differing processes to deal with suppliers and carriers resulting in increased workload and stress.
  • Inconsistent data – The ERP system doesn’t cover all processes which results in double entry of data in emails to suppliers or carriers or into carrier websites, carriers providing tracking references which are communicated by email and then transferred to spreadsheets – keying errors resulting in failures.
  • Resource shortage – General labour shortage and the issue of attracting talent into a manual and frustrating role.  Increasing complexity and demand causing increased workload.
  • Supply chain failure – Failure in supply chain as a result of disruption – war, pandemic, blockage.  Frantically trying to resource parts from other suppliers or changing routes or airfreighting urgent goods.
  • Spiraling costs – General inflationary cost increases, plus fuel fluctuations, energy and labour all seemingly impacting costs negatively.  Being able to explain and justify these costs and offset with efficiency improvements.

Solvares Logistics LP2 Transport management software (TMS) helps organisations tackle all of these challenges.  Our TMS enables companies to streamline their logistics processes, automate much of the mundane and standard administration, allowing companies to focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.

As well as managing the end-to-end transport process from supplier inbound to manufacturing and from manufacturing outbound to customer, LP2 also has a strategic planning tool enabling organisations to review and assess the impact of supply chain changes to cost and service level, to run transport tenders across all transport modes and to provide dashboard reporting to monitor KPIs on an ongoing basis.
